PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHOW IN THE LISTING PICTURE IS A GENERIC PICTURE AND NOT THE SHOW THAT IS LISTED IN DETAIL BELOW.  SINCE ALL RADIO SHOWS LOOK THE SAME EXCEPT FOR THE DATE PRINTED ON THE CD, JUST SHOWING ONE PICTURE SAVES A LOT OF TIME AND ENABLES ME TO LIST MORE SHOWS FOR YOU TO LOVE!

SO HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION:  WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW?  WHY COLLECT THEM?  WHERE DO THEY COME FROM

Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them.  Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break.

Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments.  They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others.

People collect them for various reasons.  Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all.  Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music.  Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining.

Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments.  Believe it or not, some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those.

AND, these shows are in limited quantity.

They were printed just for syndicated stations in the United States  . Many have just a few still in circulation.  Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a few hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it.  A few hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be.

AND they are increasingly hard to find.

They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR.  Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes.

These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them.  My best contact for these shows is running very low and when he is gone I will be at the mercy of finding a good deal here and there but never from a regular source.  The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase.  Even during the recession which is hopefully ending, the value of shows did not diminish much.  The number bought diminished because people were afraid to spend their money and who blames them.  But the prices did not decrease much and again are on the increase.  I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money.  I sell them for near what I bought them for.  I give volume discounts and discount postage always.  As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased.

And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of many thousands of shows not yet listed, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had.

Finally, it is Americana at its best.  Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown.  And you just can't find them anywhere.  Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any.   Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise.  And every  one you buy is  an original, not a copy, not a remake - all are limited editions in the hundreds at most and most much less.  Once you get hooked, like me, it is a love affair for life!  Welcome to the Club!

IF YOU DO LIKE RADIO SHOWS FEATURING THE BEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME IN EVERY GENRE IMAGINABLE, YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.  Here are some of the great series I have in LP or CD:  Dick Clark's Rock Roll and Remember, Flashback, Casey's Top 40 or Top 20, AT40, AT20 or AT10 with Casey, AT40 with Ryan Seacrest, Dick Clark's Countdown America, Dick Clark's National Music Survey,  Cousin Brucie, Live in the 60's with the Real Don Steele,  The Classics, Blues Deluxe, CMT Weekly Country Countdown, Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40, Weekly Country Music Countdown, Solid Gold Scrapbook, Hard Drive , Pile Driver, Back Traxx, Beatle Years,  Crook and Chase Country Countdown, Bill Cody's Country Oldies, Jukebox Explosion, Rise Up Country with John Ritter, Urban Mixx, Street Heat, Powerline, Good Time Oldies Magazine, Tom Joyner Mike Harvey's Super Gold, Tom Kent From the Basement 70's show,  House of Blues,  Leeza Gibbons Hollywood Confidential,  Leeza Gibbons countdown shows, and literally scores more so that it would take the rest of the page to name them all. Besides the two music rooms in my house, I also have a 10 x 20 air conditioned storage shed filled to the brim with great shows.

I have one of the biggest collections in the world.  They are all available to you for the asking.  I only have time to list a fraction of my shows because I work full time and this is my hobby, but just know they are there!  I give special discounts for bulk purchases of any show.  You tell me what you want, I put up a Buy It Now Auction for you, and they quickly head your way!!!

OK guys and gals, in this outing, A RARE TREAT!!!!     I recently came across many of the old Dick Bartley American Gold shows, the definitive oldies series of all time.  Getting and collecting shows from all eras of the show is great fun and you can literally trace its evolution over the years. Dick Bartley has been a personal favorite of mine dating back to his Solid Gold Scrapbook days and his ability to not just play mainstream oldies all the time.  He knows the artists and knows the music and can tell you a remix from mono or a stereo to some other rare option for a song in a second and often includes them with their stories on his show.

These Dick Bartley shows are super rare and need to be in your collection.

These shows all come with their cue sheets, of course in fresh shape with markings on them by the board op as to length of time segments.  Of course, I ship them to you in a special mailer to ensure they will be as fresh and good looking when they come to your home as they are now.  I am proud to offer you an opportunity to have some of these rare shows for your own collection.  You will especially love them if you are a fan of the 60's because the show always glorified the era of 60's music, the heart and soul of the early rock era.  As the show continued into the 2000's, the demographics changed and the show started skewing away from the  late 50's and 60's and early 70's to the entire decade of the 60's and into the greatest of the 70's.  So whatever your taste, just check out the listing and see what you will get.

You will be amazed.   If you are a fan of the show or of the featured group or genre , also know that every one of Dick's shows was unique and different.  So, for example, if you like the Beatles and get a show featuring them, and see another show listed in a tribute to the Beatles, it will be completely different.

And remember, each show had upwards of 60 great different songs on it along with all the interviews, commentary, history, and entertainment features!   Most of you remember know about Dick Bartley and his radio history.  Dick has been on national radio since the early 80's, about 30 years of daily and weekly shows.  That is a whole lot of radio.  This guy knows it all and knows them all.  The interviews you hear on his show are as great as the music and the information that he imparts about the songs and the groups is amazing.  He started on RKO Radio Networks in the early 80's on the cusp of radio syndication and was there until RKO was disolved.  Then United Stations took on the RKO syndication business and Dick was one of the shows picked up by United Stations with them.  He was there and very successful, enormously successful in fact, until 1988 when he left United Stations over a contract dispute and went to Westwood One.  Then ABC picked him up and  he remained there until  March of 2010.  In the meantime, United Stations merged with TransStar and became UniStar which lasted about a year before becoming again United Stations.  Last spring Dick returned to his early home United Stations.  SO,  Dick has been on the air in syndication steadily since 1982.  That is almost as long as Dick Clark and more than any other dj that you will hear in syndication.  Sadly, United Stations is distributing Dick by digital download and CD's are no longer produced.

YES there are NO MORE Dick Bartley American Gold shows to be had on CD.  THESE ARE THE LAST.

And YOU can have them.  Imagine, the very last and they can be in your collection.   It is Americana that few people can own both because of their rarity and because people just don't know about them.

You will get the perfect show, FOUR HOURS ON FOUR BEAUTIFUL CD'S LOOKING LIKE THEY WERE JUST PRESSED in beautiful shape, WITH THEIR CUE SHEETS ALSO IN GREAT CONDITION with only dj marks on the cue sheets to acknowledge their playing.  These are genuine collector's items  that you will treasure and which will increase in value as all radio shows, especially the quality shows like Dick Bartley, completely disappear from the market place or become too expensive to afford.

Since 99.9% of shows are now not distributed to stations on CD, these too will soon vanish.   As long as I have them, I will sell them for as reasonable a price as I can,  even given the almost 20% of every purchase that Uncles EBay and Paypal keep for their very own.  The show comes on 4 CDs ,  four hours, and in pristine condition and with their cue sheets in excellent condition

This show is 06-23 and aired on JUNE 3, 2006.

There were two great features on most shows.  This show featured  ONE SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE TOP 28 BRITISH INVASION A-Z!  You will hear songs from artists from A for the Animals to Z for The Zombies and everything in between!!!

YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THOSE EARLY TUNES AND THEY ARE ALL IN THIS SPECIAL COLLECTION.  THIS IS A UNIQUE AND RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN SUCH A TRIBUTE AND IN A PRESENTATION NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  MOST PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT RADIO SHOWS EXIST. THEY WERE PUBLISHED IN LIMITED EDITION TO SYNDICATING STATIONS ONLY AND MANY WERE DESTROYED AFTER AIRING.  THERE ARE VERY FEW AROUND TO FIND.

THEY ARE REAL AMERICANA AND UNIQUE AND RARE.

ALONG WITH THIS ARE INTERVIEWS AND TID BITS FROM DICK BARTLEY THAT I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS UNIQUE SUBJECT IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL!  THIS SHOW IS A MUST FOR YOU!   BELIEVE ME, YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH THIS TRIBUTE SHOW ALONG WITH ALL THE FEATURES, INTERVIEWS, POP ENTERTAINMENT AND NEWS FLASHBACKS AND COMMENTARY THAT ONLY DICK BARTLEY CAN PROVIDE AND WHICH WE ALL REMEMBER AND LOVE.

YOU WILL REMEMBER EACH SONG AS IF YOU WERE THERE, ENJOYING THEM WITH THAT SPECIAL FRIEND.  YOU NEED TO COLLECT THIS WHOLE SERIES TO ENJOY THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL BUT EVERY SHOW IS A MASTERPIECE IN ITSELF!  It is an amazing collection and certainly one of the rarest ever presented from this show.  It needs to be in your collection.

THEN AT THE END, IN A SEPARATE TRACK (IN THE CLEAR) WITH NO TALKING IS THE EXTRA GOLD SEGMENT WHERE LESSER KNOWN OR RARE VERSIONS OF SONGS WERE PROVIDED FOR STATIONS LIBRARIES.  You will hear wonderful songs, many of which you have not heard in a long time.  And they are all there for you. The memories will flood back with all the songs from that period. These themes were always fun because it brings back to you the memories of your life from those special times in your life.  Oldies are of the most popular themes in radio and Dick has a lock on it!  In between each theme you will hear other great classics of the early rock era and special features, interviews, and music news from  the early rock era.  It is such a tremendous show and ranks with Dick Clark's Rock Roll and Remember as the definitive oldies series of all time.  (Of course Dick Bartley's Solid Gold Scrapbook on lp and Dick Clark's Solid Gold on lp from the 70's and 80's are the true classic oldies shows because they include the 50's  but they are very rare.  This series is affordable and everyone looks for it. BTW, I have  shows from all the above series too if you are interested, lp and CD, so let me know if you are interested!)

You will hear a total of way over 60 tunes on each show.

Imagine 60 or more songs on every show. PLUS all the interviews, special features, and from one of America's most loved dj's for 40 years, Dick Bartley.

Finally, as if this weren't enough, Dick always listed songs 'in the clear' at the end of the fourth hour.  In fact it is common to find Dick Bartley shows missing this fourth hour because stations kept the fourth hour for their libraries because of the quality and rareness of the extra tracks presented.  In the Clear means that there is no dj interaction before, during or after them.  They are just great songs, often alternative takes or rarely heard songs. Sometimes these extra songs were in a theme or just requests from program directors across the country looking for specific versions of oldies.

Here are the "In the Clear" extras on this show:  I Only Want To Be With You- The Tourists    I Saw Him Standing There- Tiffany    Groovy Kind Of Love- Phil Collins    Hippy Hippy Shake- The Georgia Satellites

Please remember, this is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing.  It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!!  I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations.  Each show comes from my personal collection of thousands of radio shows of every genre.  Stations could use the show anytime during the weekend date printed on the show.

THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL HOW MANY OF EACH SHOW SURVIVED BECAUSE SYNDICTORS WILL NEVER RELEASE HOW MANY WERE ORIGINALLY PRESSED.

On the financial side, you are truly buying a  show that will only increase in value and I am selling them at a price very close to what I paid for it.  It just doesn't get much better than that, music fans!!!!

The show comes with its original national commercials including:  WELLS FARGO LOA    HIMMEL/OVALTINE    WYETH/ADVIL PM  EHARMONY/ONLINE    U OF PHOENIX/ED    J&J/TYLENOL PM    GEN MOT/ONSTAR    CHOICE HOTELS and MORE!

And if you don't like the national commercials (none of those boring local commercials are in the show; there were various places on the CD show where they could be locally inserted and time left for them but you will not hear them, only the national commercials you will remember well), just skip  to the next track and rejoin Dick and all the great music immediately.  Many of my buyers get my shows for the neat old commercials they collect.

Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay  are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere.  It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining.  As well, it is a piece of radio and music  history.  You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer    Think of what they will be worth in a few years!  (IF you wanted to sell.)  I am selling to share with other music lovers what I was able to get at a reasonable price.  I am saving those shows I treasure the most and sharing the rest with you for very reasonable prices.    It is a great show and would be a valuable addition to your collection.

As always, for U.S. buyers, I charge only shipping on the first show you buy so the more you buy the more money you will save.  For my international friends, I will again only charge shipping on the first show you purchase and all others ship for free.

Good Luck and God Bless You.
