Up for sale here, is a repair service for bell 9242 HD PVR, or Bell 9241 HD PVR. THIS IS A MAIL IN SERVICE, WHERE YOU SHIP YOUR DEFECTIVE PVR AND HAVE IT REPAIRED. IT'S NOT A EXCHANGE OR SWAP SERVICE, IT'S A MAIL IN SERVICE.

HERE IS THE ADDRESS WHERE YOU NEED TO SHIP THE RECEIVER TO :

VINCENT FORCIER
878 BEAULIEU
MCMASTERVILLE, QUEBEC
J3G 5A4 CANADA
514-816-8690

PLEASE USE CANADA POST IF POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE USE ANY CARRIER. YOU ARE PAYING 75$ + 25$ FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING, FOR THE RECEIVER TO BE SHIPPED BACK TO YOU, VIA CANADA POST EXPEDITED PARCELS, THIS IS A FLAT RATE.

This standard repair is good for any of the 2 models, 9241 and 9242. It includes the diagnostic and repair of your PVR receiver. I will change all the parts on the main board, to get your receiver up and running, and stable again.

IF THE RECEIVER CANNOT BE FIXED, THERE WILL BE A 25$ ESTIMATE FEE. I will refund you 50$ off the original cost and send it back, or 75$ off the original cost if i don't have to send it back and you want it recycled.
I do have some refurbished receivers for sale, and the 25$ estimate can be deducted off a refurbished receiver purchase if you choose to do buy one.

This is a service that's good, if you experience the following issues :

Freezing, stuttering, random rebooting, satellite reception signal problems, problems recording, general unstability.

If your PVR doesn't boot at all (stays on green led for the 9242 and doesn't do anything) you might have a different issue. I will first diagnose and email you on the issue, but 90% of the time, the problem is the same and i'll be able to fix it, with the 75$ price.

This auction is 100$, and it includes return shipping of the receiver for all of Canada, with Canada Post expedited parcels.

The turn around time is usually 2-3 days, but it can be a little more if the issue is more complex, or hard to pinpoint.

I do have some used hard drives for sale for 60$ and new ones for 90$, if after the standard repair your hard drive doesn't pass the diagnostic, you have the choice to buy your own drive, or have your drive replaced. Most of the times, the drives are good, they do not fail that much.

If you have a 9200 (discontinued by bell) receiver, you can use the drive from it, it's perfectly compatible with the 9242 and 9241.

Before you consider replacing your HD PVR by another used unit, keep in mind, that the unit you're buying has the exact same issue that the one you're replacing it with ! They all have the same issues. So the replacement you're buying, might just last a few months.

Thank you,
