17.05.2022 So far I have only tried dc tig with mild steel. However, having not done any tig welding for 16 years, I have managed to stick some bits of metal together, so very promising. I find the kit to be of good quality.

06.09.2020 Not had too much time to use my machine yet but the little I have done has been a good experience. The booklet is very good, concise and easy to follow to get you set up, it's just my skill which is the let down. I feel like I've got a lot for my money in one package with no hassle, just add gas and away we go. I would recommend this product and company to anyone from hobbyist to professional. As a hobbyist I couldn't fault the product, the service from the staff was exceptional with no hint of condescension for my lack of knowledge, just help and a good laugh. My whole experience has made me want to go back to these guys to buy all of my welding kit since I know they will give me practical, unbiased advice, as indeed they did with this purchase and having received the kit I know now that the quality of it and the advice offered is as described on their website, excellent.

31.08.2020 The quality of this set seems good. Welded stainless so far, yet to try ally. The knobs do exactly what they say, the hf start and slope out are really tight and effective. The machine has a nice "feel" to it, in my welding career I've been spoiled with top notch *** sets and specialist gasses, this is not a million miles away from those sets. If I can, I'll check back with my aluminium results.

17.07.2020 Currently used for hobby work, with the capability to be used for business use if the case arose (current Corona situation) I would recommend the product to anyone who wanted the capability to weld aluminium as there are other cheaper models that are DC only. I think the torch is too heavy for only a 170amp welder, I think the lighter torch (sold separately) would be better as standard bearing in mind the duty cycle of this machine

08.07.2020 I haven't done any TIG welding for around 10 years and I am an ** welder at best. After seeing the first class service my brother-in-law received after he had a problem with his R-Tech MIG last year, I didn't look anywhere else. I have only had a few goes with the TIG welder so far, but it seems extremely well built and very controllable.

13.06.2020 I've had the acdc 161 tig welder for a few weeks now and I have done some stainless steel and a fair bit of aluminium with it and I'm impressed, in my opinion it's every bit as good as any machine I've used in the past and is easily capable of doing commercial work in a busy sheet metal shop.

06.06.2020 Well we needed to tig a stainless tank of which we bought the welder for . And as a newbie to the tig it has done an awesome job of it . And hopefully many more projects too. Recommend to anyone really looking for a tig I was told needed ac for aluminum welding but we ain't ventured that far as yet so rather than just buy dc tig we got ac/dc one Product itself is a neat machine . Like say we pretty novices at this we watched a few YouTube videos from experienced welders. All say different things so go ahead trial and error few test pieces and go for it .

The free foot pedal makes it a lot easier to use and makes a great value package. The quality is like the R Tech plasma cutter I've owned for the past 3 years without a hiccup unlike the plasma cutter from another well known *** company that started giving trouble after 1 year.
