Offered here is a beautiful vintage Japanese doll. She is 14" tall, cloth covered with a lovely hand painted face, her wig is perfect with an intricate braided bun in the back. Her clothing is a Kimono style one piece jumpsuit with full pants and wrap front top in a dark navy with blue woven through the fabric. She carries a satchel in one arm, over her back is a straw basket with original pretty fabric flowers, red straps attach the basket. The hat is fabulous; made of hand woven straw with exquisite details, a top knot is formed from the straw ends and upturned fringe surrounds around the edges, trimmed with red rolled fabric ties and bows. She has the cutest sandal shoes, red fabric thong tops, woven rope soles. The doll is attached to a 4 3/4 x 6" black lacquered wood base. Excellent vintage condition, no notable damage.
