Do you have to sew several buttons onto a garment? Then save yourself time and stress by sewing them on with the Button Sewing Foot!

The Button Sewing Foot is a great (and convenient) way to sew buttons onto shirts, trousers, jackets and more. With a specially crafted rubber shoe that pefectly holds the button in place, allowing you to easily line up the holes on the button to quickly sew it on. Designed to fit onto front loading (5mm) Janome Sewing Machines, this Button Sewing Foot will fit most front loading sewing machine models on the market.

 

NOTE: This foot is sold by itself, without blister packaging

How do I use the 5mm Open Toe Satin Stitch Foot?

 

  • Stitch: Zigzag stitch
  • Thread tension: 1 – 3
  • Stitch length: 0
  • Stitch width: Adjust as necessary
  • Feed dog: Down or use a darning plate

 
 
 

Method:

  1. Adjust the stitch width so that the needle enters both holes in the button.
  2. Place the button on the fabric and lower the needle by turning the handwheel so that the needle enters into the left hole in the button.
  3. Align the holes in the button with the foot and lower it to hold the button in place.
  4. Turn the handwheel to lower the needle into the right hole in the button.
  5. Adjust the stitch width if necessary.
  6. Rethread the machine and affix the button with 10 stitches.
  7. For multi-hole buttons: Move the needle drop to the next set of holes and repeat as necessary.

Note : Foot intended for flat buttonholes only! For Shank type buttons or odd shaped buttons consult a qualified sewing instructor.
