HID lights are the most popular because they produce light which is much closer the white light of daylight instead of halogen which produces a yellowish light.

HID bulbs last 10x longer than halogen bulbs and have no filaments to break.

A 35w HID uses 50% less power, produces 300% more light, and last 10x longer than a standard 55w halogen bulb.
