New or like-new R6502AP cpu IC chip R6502-13.  Shipped from United States (Utah).  See information below for possible compatibility with MOS 6502 chips.  We are not responsible for any damage done by those using chips they buy from us or substituting different chip versions into different devices.  It is up to the buyer to make sure they are using these chips appropriately.  Fifteen or twenty years ago we picked up dozens of these from a major corporation that used to refurbish Commodore computers.  They came to us in factory looking chip tubes.  Most of the chips in the tubes had identical date production codes and the chip legs appeared to be very shiny and unbent which is typical for new chips.  So, we assume they are new or at least in new-like condition.  We picked up around ten thousand other Commodore and Amiga chips from the same source and have sold thousands of them over the last 12 or 15 years with great success and very few problems.

We ship these chips in special static-resistant chip boxes with black crisp anti-static foam to protect them.

The photo shown may vary slightly from the actual chip you receive and the date production code may be different.  These chips are in nice overall condition but may not be in mint condition due to the fact that they have been stored in chip tubes which may have scratched them slightly or caused other minor blemishes.  We take note of the production date codes of all chips shipped and oftentimes put little warranty stickers on the bottom of the chips which we ship in order to make sure that any returns are chips which we actually sold.  Any returned chips which do not match the production date codes or which have missing or damaged warranty stickers will not be refunded.  If you don't want little warranty stickers on the bottom of these please contact us before ordering to make special arrangements.

Note: Our shipping price is a couple of dollars higher than our actual shipping cost on these normally because of our cost on the special anti-static boxes which we ship them in.

We have been selling Commodore hardware, parts and accessories for nearly 37 years (since 1983) and have a great reputation.

Notice: Someone who had recently been investigating this chip provided the following information to us on June 10th of 2020:

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I have discovered that the R6502AP is 100% pin compatible with a MOS 6502 - 100%.

The AP is a 2 MHz processor whereas the MOS 6502 was 1 MHz, however, the R6502AP will work in a 1541 disk drive - I've just competed testing this with an R6502AP chip.

Just thought you might like to know in case anyone else asks...you can tell them, that in fact it will work. :)

We haven't independently verified this information but this individual seems to be quite confident about this compatibility with the MOS 6502-- at least in some (if not most) Commodore 1541 floppy disk drives which normally used a standard MOS 6502 chip.  Presumably if these R6502AP chips are interchangeable with a standard MOS 6502 chip on a Commodore 1541 disk drive they may also be interchangeable on other computers and devices that use MOS 6502 chips.  We don't know that for sure though.
