1. Specify which RIVETS or CHICAGO SCREWS you want:
NOTE: Fasteners are NOT included except where specifically noted. See below for ordering fasteners of your choice. If NO FASTENERS required, please state if you need rivet or Chicago screw holes.
(Even if  you are NOT ordering fasteners, we still need to know what fasteners 
the holes will be drilled for.)
  • 1/4" Rivets ($1.95 EXTRA) used for 1-ply (single layer) leather OR 2-ply (double layer) nylon
  • 3/8" Rivets ($2.95 EXTRA + shipping*) used for 2-ply (double layer) leather OR 3-ply (triple layer) nylon 
  • 1/2" Rivets ($2.95 EXTRA + shipping*) used for 3-ply (triple layer) leather OR 3-ply + (triple layer) nylon 
  • 1/4" Chicago Screws ($2.99 EXTRA + shipping*) used for 2-ply (double layer) leather OR 3-ply (triple layer) nylon
  • 3/8" Chicago Screws ($2.99 EXTRA + shipping*) used for 3-ply (triple layer) leather OR 3-ply + (triple layer) nylon
*Unfortunately, when rivets and Chicago screws are ordered, they must be shipped as a First Class parcel, (as of 1/21/2018),(with tracking number) and incur a shipping charge of $2.99, (billed through PayPal via a separate invoice).  We are NOT making any profit from these charges.

2. Specify one or two lines of engraving.
  • A second line is $2.00 extra (Billed through PayPal via a separate invoice)
3. For EACH line, write text exactly as it is to be engraved. Write text exactly as it is to be engraved for EACH line. 
  • We will engrave in all high case (ALL CAPS) unless otherwise requested, except for Script and Olde English, 
    which will be engraved in Upper & Lower, unless  all high case is specifically requested.
  • Do NOT use quotes ("), unless they are to be engraved.
  • Maximum of 20 characters, including spaces, on the first line. The first line is usually a bolder, more prominent font,
    while an optional second line     is usually slightly smaller. The choice of font represents such,
    e.g. 1st line Roman Block (RB), 2nd line Simple Block (SB).

DESCRIPTION:

These are the finest quality solid brass engraver's plates with a brushed finish. One line of engraving is included. 
They can be attached with rivets or Chicago screws (see #2 above for pricing), to your halter, collar, etc. We recommend Chicago screws for fastening to a working halter, as they are more durable than rivets, and also easier to replace if your horse outgrows its halter.

Perfect for identifying your horse's lineage, owner, phone number, etc. with an optional second line ($2 extra). They are finished with a baked-on synthetic resin, that will not tarnish or rust. They are extremely sturdy and create an elegant finish to the halter. They can also be used for mounting with rivets to leather belts, bracelets and key chains. 

We rotary diamond engrave the text into the brass, five times, to create a very durable engraving, much more so than just diamond etching or laser engraving, that has a tendency to rub off. The exposed raw brass is then double acid oxidized to produce the darkened text.
