California Faience, Berkeley, CA  1915-1950     William Bragdon and Chauncey Thomas, founders of California Faience, were hired for one year by West Coast Porcelain Manufacturers in Milbrae, CA to produce art pottery.   The limited pieces were sold as California Porcelain and made in the 1920's.

This vintage tall lemonade pitcher has wonderful mottled, matte green glazing.    From the bottom, the 6 sides go up and blend into the round top.    It is identified as shape 303 by Kirby Brown, author of "California Faience-Ceramics for Cottages and Castles."   William Bragdon was Kirby's grandfather.    Pitcher measures 8 1/2" tall.   In excellent condition; signed.
