~ 1917 Pattern WW1 Royal Engineers Territorial Officers Tunic ~

The tunic bears the blue territorial "T" badge, shoulders showing insignia for a Second Lieutenant.

Both collar insignia are present as well.

On the right sleeve can be seen the blue overseas service chevrons for three years service.

All buttons are present and bear the Royal engineers badge. On the back they are stamped with the manufacturer’s name ‘Putt& Co., 31 Maddox St., London W..

The ribbon for the Military Cross is attached on the left side of the tunic.

The green lining is made of silk.

~ Dimensions ~

The tunic is 33.5 inches (85 cm) tall (on the rear side) from the collar’s top to the lower edge of the tunic. 
The width from shoulder to shoulder is 16.5 inches (42 cm). 
The arm length (on the outside) from shoulder seam to the end of cuff is 26 inches (66 cm). 
The waist is 15.5 inches (39.7 cm) across. 
The chest (when laid down flat) from armpit to armpit is 18 inches (45.7 cm) across. 
It weighs 1.45 Kg. 

~ Condition ~

The tunic is in fair condition for its age with signs of wear.
There are a number of moth holes and minor tears, but is nothing serious.
The lining is unstitched on its lower end and has some tears on the armpits.
