Sentimental family drama starring Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen. Monte Wildhorn (Freeman), a former award-winning writer of Western-themed novels, moves to his nephew (Kenan Thompson)'s idyllic lakeside home to spend the summer. His nephew thinks he is giving Monte a chance to resume his writing after a long hiatus, but the cynical and curmudgeonly Monte is only interested in utilising his free time drinking.
