To add a oil pressure gauge to a Vortec motor, a oil pressure sender may be connected on the intake manifold on a Metric 16 x 1.5 thread port. This 2" adaptor makes adding an oil pressure switch for any GM Vortec Gen 3 & 4 engine a breeze. The all aluminum adaptor installs between the intake manifold and the factory oil pressure switch. The side of the adaptor needs to be drilled and tapped (by the user) with the thread to fits the oil pressure switch of your choice. This adaptor eliminates the need for the multitude of plumbing adaptors used to fit a non-GM oil pressure switch on a GM motor that are unsightly and could cause leaks. This is a custom made part that is threaded to fit GM oil pressure switch for Vortec Gen 3 & Gen 4 motor. The thread is Metric 16 X 1.5 male on the bottom and Metric 16 X 1.5 female thread on top. The male and female threads are 1/2" long and the body of the adaptor is 2" long (not counting the male threaded part). It may fit other motors and sensors with the same thread. Please verify the fit before you purchase this part. The stock photo shows a Gen 3 Vortec 6000 motor with a Toyota oil pressure switch hanging off the side. The Toyota oil pressure gauge sender unit was installed to face the firewall and away from the engine for easy access. Please note that the adaptor only has thread on top and bottom and fits between the engine block and the oil pressure gauge. The buyer must drill and tap the hole and thread on the body of the adaptor for their desire oil pressure switch to fit.
