Reverb Worship is delighted to announce the final

release in the Black Church reissue series.I have really

enjoyed working with Kim Free on this project.Over the

course of five reissues we have uncovered some lovely

unreleased gems and had time to re-evaluate

Black Church music.I think Kim herself seemed surprised

at how good these tracks sounded.In fact these unreleased

tracks have probably never been listened to before by anyone

other than Kim.

I have to confess that "YxY" has always been my

favourite Black Church release.Maybe because it was

my first purchase.It originally appeared on a very, very

limited cassette on the Tapemancy Recordings label

in 2010.If you can get hold of one of these you

will be lucky.It sold out very quickly and has not

been available since because Tapemancy Recording

is sadly defunct.

The cassette version of "YxY" contained nine tracks

and came in a green cloth bag with badges and

a plastic packet of laurel leaves.For this reissue

we decided to make "YxY" a double cd.Cd one

has ten tracks.We removed the "Kalakasi" track and

added "Celestian" and "Lavender Honeycomb" which was

one of Kim's earliest songs which she has reworked.

Cd two is a Black Church Early Demos cd.It contains

six tracks of pre Black Church music which are really

rather nice.In all over both cds you get sixteen

tracks with new artwork.

This cd is available now in a edition of 50 copies.

The cover inserts on both cds are printed onto 160gsm

bright white card.Each copy copy of the cd has a

individually numbered sticker.
