Vintage Marcel Boucher Book  Piece Phrygian Cap Rhinestone Comma earrings

The earrings are made of an open work fluid design with a central silver-tone section that are loaded with pavé set, faceted, rhinestones which give considerable sparkle to them. These stones have been set into rhodium plated metal, a perfect backdrop that makes them absolutely brilliant. At the very end of the tail of the swirl is a larger set stone.  The Comma earrings are a book piece referenced in Julia C Carrol's Costume Jewelry 202, page 268. The earrings are marked as item number 2804 which dates these earrings to 1949.  Their approx. size is 1.5" x 1".
