Granberg Alaskan Saw mill Mark lll 72 inch.

You are buying one kit as shown, no saw.

Typically you need about 6 inch bigger bar than your mill size, the mill will adjust down in size for smaller bars as needed.

You should plan on using a 78 inch bar if you want the full 72 inch use on this mill.

You can always use a smaller bar you just won't get the full width the mill specifies, in this case a standard 72 inch bar would give you a maximum cutting width of about 66 inch even though its a 72 inch mill.

We use a 42 inch bar on our 36 inch mill and that exactly maxes out everything perfectly.

If you take the dogs off it will give you more room if and when necessary.

Most everyone uses full chisel felling chain as it's half the cost of milling chain and milling chain doesn't cut very much better anyway. We sell only full chisel felling chain.
