• Beautifully hand painted, intricately decorated thick famille rose (fencai) enamel adorns these plates, each quite slightly different, all with finely executed detail to a center decoration of a mixture of bugs, peonies,butterflies, and tendrils, with an opulent gold and multicolored border with 4 cartouches of birds on a branch within black scrolls, accented with gold gild - just gorgeous
• Measures 4 3/4" (12cm) Diameter x 1" (2.5cm) High at rim
• In very fine antique condition, with no chips, cracks or damage, but some wear to gold, small frits on rims, and tiny spots of discoloration in spots of paint (which may come out if cleaned -- we NEVER clean out antiques), all certainly commensurate with age and fine care
• Plates are marked with 4 character mark
