The Bungee Cord we use is not standard Bungee it is an exclusive custom product made

ONLY for Doc's Detecting Supply.  It has a DACRON POLYESTER UV protection outer cover.

The Rubber inside the bungee is a special premium rubber that is manufactured

with a 50% stretch factor.  Normal Bungee cord has a 100% stretch factor and is

not suitable for metal detecting.  WHY?  Because it is too bouncy and does not give the 

person using the metal detector the precise control that is needed to keep a nice level swing.
INTERESTING FACT: In order to have this Bungee made to Doc's exacting specifications

we have to have a production run of over 3 miles of cord!
