Japanese Kinchaku bag for use when wearing Kimono...
This is one of a huge lot of ‘vintage' Japanese bags that we have acquired. They were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories… Most were produced in the 1980’s but some are newer...
This bag may have been used but is in near-perfect condition with no stains or issues of any kind. It is made of sturdy salmon pink rayon chirimen fabric in a lovely traditional “shochikubai” pattern with butterflies. It has a stiffened bottom and wine color cord ties. It is fully lined in red fabric and beautifully sewn.
Made in Japan
It measures about:
6” or 15cm wide
6” or 15cm thick
6" or 15cm tall
