The black, SkimSAFE Shielded 2 card RFID blocking ID cardholder accommodates 2 standard credit card sized RFID cards (one on the front and one on the back). The front of each card remains visible. The FIPS 201 Approved SkimSAFE design shields your card, blocking any unwanted communication both to and from the card. While the card is in the holder, the information on your card's chip cannot be read. The SkimSAFE badge holders are FIPS 201 approved (this rating is important for many government agencies).
How does a shielded card holder work? When you slide your card, and it locks into the holder, the information is safe. When you are near your reader and want to allow your card to be read, simply slide your card partially out of the holder and the card will communicate with the reader. As soon as you have access, lock the card back into the holder by simply sliding the card back into place. It's that easy.
