DESCRIPTION:
Our brass and nickel silver are the finest quality available for engraving, and are finished with a baked-on synthetic resin, that will not tarnish or rust. The plate has outside measurements of 2 1/2" x 1/2", and is a perfect thickness, (.050" same thickness as a quarter) for your Bible cover, being both sturdy and very elegant. It comes with durable, double stick, peel off tape on the back, so it is very easy to adhere to the cover of the Bible.
(We do have these plates with holes in them, if you prefer to fasten in a different manner. We also offer a larger size for a Family Bible.)
We rotary diamond burnish the name into the brass or silver five times to create a very durable engraving, much more so than just diamond etching or laser engraving, that has a tendency to rub off. The exposed raw brass is then double acid oxidized to produce the darkened image.
