Car will look purple or green depending on the angle the light is hitting it. Very difficult to capture with the camera “at least for me”.
Painted with automotive paint for the best finish possible. 2
coats of 2K primer, 3-4 coats of color and 2 heavy coat of 2 part clear coat.
No rattle cans used here.
Tube of Graphite included. Everything needed to be successful on
race day.

All my cars weigh
4.8-4.9 oz. “leaving room for a personal touch like stickers” wedge design with
the weight in the rear. The pictures you see is the car you get. All cars are
all 100% official BSA products from the box. I test all cars on my tuning board
and then run them down the track to ensure they run true. I will not post any
times as I only have a 21ft track and that just doesn’t compare to the 35ft
track most clubs run.
Axles: Official BSA Speed Axles. Groves and crimp marks “from
manufacturing process” removed, progressively sanded to a 2000 grit sand paper,
and then micro polished to a mirror finish.
Axle holes: I use a #44 drill bit to drill the axle holes using a
top of the line Proxxon drill press for the precision and accuracy needed to
compete at the highest level.
Number matching BSA Wheels: Wheels are number matched to balance out the car.
Wheelbase: Standard BSA wheelbase using the precut slots running on wheels with
the option to run on just 3 if rules allow.
A little about myself:
I have been involved
with scouts since I was a tiger never mind the year, but my son is now a Boy
Scout and we didn’t have him until we were done with school and secure in our
professions. I started really getting into the pinewood derby cars after my son
was a Tiger Cub and placed 4th in the pack. He wasn’t as
devastated with the finish as I was. I committed the next year to researching
and testing many different designs. The next year we finished first in the pack
and 4th in the district. Again, he thought it was great, but I
wanted more. The next two years, we dominated the pack, took the district and
where the fasted graphite car in the state. Over the last 5 years I’ve a sold a
few hundred of these cars on eBay with great feedback and the greatest
complement of returning customers because of the success they have had with my
cars. I continue to research and test my cars to make them better and faster
than the years before.
Like I said, I have sold
hundreds of Pinewood derby cars with zero negative feedback and nothing
finishing below 3rd. Most of the cars that didn’t finish in the top
two usually lost to one of my other cars where people purchased more than one.
I don’t have a patent on pinewood derby knowledge, so I can’t guarantee 1st and
2nd place finishes to everyone, but I will guarantee your
little guy will be completive to 1st and 2nd place
finishes with my cars.
I always recommend
adding graphite before your race as this is a powder and will naturally fall
out. I do prep the wheels and axles with graphite so you will have a nice
coating.
