You are looking at the Second Quarter in the 2017 series. The Frederick Douglass National Historic Site In Washington, D.C.
​Commemorating the man more so then the house is the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.
Frederick Douglass was a well-spoken abolitionist who in his early years was actually a slave before escaping to freedom. Throughout the remainder of his life he promoted the ideas of equality, not only based on ethnicity, but also for women.

​The house serving as the base of the historic site was bought by Douglass in 1877, ans served as his home until he died in 1895. He named the house "Cedar Hill" and it still affords visitors a grand view of Washington, D.C. today.

This coin is due out of the US Mint on the 3rd day of April 2017. It takes 7 to 10 business days for me to get in hand and I start shipping a few days later. I should have the coins in hand on or around the 17th of April 2017. Please do not order this if you can't wait till the coins are in hand. Thank you.​

This is a Set of Two, one from the Philadelphia Mint, and one from the Denver Mint. When we get them in hand we check and ship them as fast as we can, they are put in cardboard flips or small polybags. They are from Mint Rolls and handled with cotton gloves with utmost cars. We never use the end of the rolls and they are shipped as they come out of the rolls. We do not check them and we have been known to ship out some Double Die Coins.
