Sterling silver sugar spoon with shell bowl, in the Lotus pattern.  The spoon weighs .88 troy oz. and measures 6 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches across the bowl.  Marked on the back of the handle with the retailer "Marsh" and "Sterling".  The Gorham mark is not on the piece.  There are numerous pinprick dings on the back of the bowl and tiny black spots on both sides of the bowl (see photos), otherwise in good antique condition.

This is actually Whiting's Lotus pattern. Whiting's Lotus has five fronds and Gorham's lotus has three. There are other differences as well but they can be subtle. The two patterns' serving pieces vary greatly in style. Hope this helps.
