My Advice on size:

Please see the model pictures, he wears 39R" normally and this fits. The garment chest is about 41" together, therefore it could cover up from 38~40 inches comfortably. 

Apart from multi functions, the best feature of this coat is the internal drawstring, so you can pull it to look slim and fit. This means it has size flexibility. These are haute couture designers and they know what they are doing. If size is delicate, they tend to put down numerical numbers. When it is not, they write words such as small or medium or large. 

Size is a personal preference, please make your own decision.
