OE Volvo 240 NON-TURBO Engine Wiring Harness Updated Part # . 3515364
Fits 1985-1987 NON-Turbo LH-Jetronic 2.2 B230F USA engines.

Most all Volvo cars made from 1980-1987 had problems with crumbling insulation on the factory original engine harnesses (though the Mopar ignition harnesses don't really rot), years later they fixed the defect in the plastic insulation and made replacment harnesses available and gave them new part numbers. If your 240 still has the original harness you should check it out for signs of failing insulation, usually what you can see is less bad than what you can't as the wires carrying critical signals short out making running or intermittent problems difficult or impossible to diagnose.

This Harness is in good to excellent used condition.  All wires and vinyl sheathing are soft and flexible except for some inevitable stiffening where it wraps around the crank pulley next to the hot seal housing sump tight to the engine block there on the bottom.  No damage that I can see to the critical boots, clips and connectors anywhere.  Be sure to save you old harness.  The oil pressure switch black wire may have been repaired at some point, but it looks well done and ohms out just fine.

Though all the seals in the wiring connectors are present now, they have a way of escaping at installation time, those are usually good on the old harness, keep it for spares. These harnesses are no longer available new from the dealer and most all good used ones have been long since sent to the crusher. Takes about a long afternoon to install yourself or give it to your local independent mechanic and solve the rotting wiring problem forever/indefinitely.

I will include 1 tested relay and a fuse holder, see last picture.  A water proof fuse holder or relocating the factory fuse holder slightly out of the way of the drip edge of the hood can be helpful for long term reliability on install.

I have the updated 88+ style Mopar ECU and its harness available in a separate auction many times.  As per the book, you aren't supposed to separate/unplug them without at least re-shimming the pins.  Volvo sold shims for the earlier style pins to help achieve a more solid connection at the ECU as they had problems with those early on.  The Mopar ignition harness doesn't really have the rotting insulation problem, but examining them for chafing and re-taping them when replacing the main/fuel harness isn't a bad idea.  I don't usually replace those if I don't absolutely have to and haven't had problems down the road.

Pictured is what you will receive.
