This auction is for one of the larger field cannon that Marklin made. I believe this is model 8063/2. The barrel on this gun is brass, and measures 14 cm long. The whole piece is about 32 cm from barrel tip to end of the carriage hitch. Wheel height is 7.5 cm. Carriage is painted camo, and it and the wheels are cast iron. According to the Marklin Cannon book (Militarspielzeug aus Blech 1895-1939 by Dr. Hollerer), The non-camo 8063/2 appeared in the Marklin catalogs from 1915 to 1933. The camo one in 1934 and 1935. The spring loaded firing mechanism works well. The breech insert is missing. The full hinged carriage traverser arm remains at the end of the trailer hitch. In one of the photo's I show the gun when it was broken. I sent it to Iron Man, out in California. He specializes in cast iron repair and he did an excellent job of restoring this one, including the paint. In the very last photo I show a picture of this gun with another 8063/2, that one is non-camo, it's shown just for reference and is not a part of this auction. Payment: All buyers, per eBay policy I can only accept PayPal as a payment method for all auctions. Payment is due within 4 days from the end of the auction. Handling time: I do my best to mail packages out the day after I get payment. If I receive payment before 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) I will have it in the mail the next day, except for Sunday because U.S. Post Offices are not open on Sunday.
U.S. Shipping: I use First Class (up to 16 oz) and Priority mail after that. Books ship media mail. I only charge actual postage - no added fees. I combine multiple items won by the same person the same day and charge actual postage. If you're looking to buy other items not ending yet just let me know and I'll hold the shipment to combine them for you. I use lots of bubble wrap and peanuts and good boxes. In a group of multiple pieces each item is wrapped individually. When there is an original box or other original paper item I put that into a plastic bag in case you get delivery on a rainy day.
International Shipping: I gladly ship international. First Class International is available up to 4 pounds in weight, after that it has to be Priority mail which is expensive. Please note that there can be lengthy delays at Customs. Per eBay rules, import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges -- these charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Return Policy: Returns are accepted within 30 days, so long as item is returned in the condition that it was in when it was sold. If the item was misrepresented I will refund the postage both ways. If the item was not misrepresented, I will refund the purchase price only -- not the shipping paid to get it to you, or for you to return it. I use a loupe to examine the toys while I'm listing them, and I try and mention the significant condition issues that I can see. I value my eBay reputation and I am not knowingly going to put out false or misleading info on a toy -- if I'm wrong about a fact about the toy I'll refund your money.
