Vintage Lacquered Kanzashi Hair Ornament Set

This gorgeous, vintage kanzashi set appears to be about 40-50 years old is made of tsuge boxwood, lacquered in rich black & red in a striking, traditional “Goshoguruma" design. Lovely hand-painted detail in gold with mother of pearl insets. It is in perfect condition in its original box and has probably never been used. This is an absolutely stunning set and would clearly have been very expensive when originally purchased. The box is in excellent condition too - this would make a unique gift.
