Fast-paced horror in which a woman's attempts to start a new life are threatened when she discovers her ex-boyfriend, a brutal murderer, has escaped from prison. Sarah (Amy Seimetz) is a recovering alcoholic whose problems with drink are partially responsible for the fact that it took her so long to recognise the erratic behaviour of her boyfriend, Garrick (AJ Bowen). When she discovered that Garrick was responsible for a spree of killings, Amy turned him in immediately and subsequently moved to a small town in a bid to move on with her life. Things are going well. At an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting she bumps into Kevin (Joe Swanberg) and the pair begin a relationship.
