Potteries, Los Angeles, CA 1921-1939 Tile makers supplied a
variety of specialized tiles needed by construction trades for
commercial and residential applications. Perforated tiles, known as
grates or grills were often used in fireplaces, bulkheads and stoves.
This one was never glazed (referred to as 'bisque'). In very good
condition; has minor wear. Measures 6" x 6" x 5/8" thick.
