Audio Output Transformer

This is a low-cost audio output transformer, which is an excellent replacement for 5-tube vacuum tube radios.

These were removed from unused equipment, and are in perfect working order.

Twenty five volt line transformer, which makes an excellent audio output transformer, see last photo. Primary has 4 taps. With an 8 ohm load on the secondary, and using a voltage ratio test, we measured the primary impedances as approximately 3,000 ohms, 1,500 ohms, 600 ohms and 300 ohms.

Nominal resistance of primary taps are 67, 44, 30 and 20 ohms. Secondary resistance is approximately 0.6 ohms.

Nominal size: 1.45" x 1.10" x 1.25" (LxWxH). 1.75" between mounting hole centers.

Perfect replacement transformer for use in All American Five tube radios, low power audio amplifiers, or general experimenter use.

We replaced the output transformer in a typical 5-tube AM radio set.
We noticed no difference in volume or fidelity between the two parts.
