Here for sale is a vintage 36mm UNVER Super Compressor watch.

The watch itself I would class as being good/very good condition for its age which I think dates to July 1966 looking at the Brevit numbers inside the caseback. The all important top crown has all its teeth intact(I understand these are very difficult to find replacements for) and the lower crown winds and sets including date change as it should. One thing I will mention is while the upper crown does rotate the inner bezel, I think the incorrect crystal has been fitted at some point as it can be a little tricky with its rotating(as mentioned though, I have checked the upper crown teeth and these are fine). This aside there isn't really much to highlight, I don't think the case has ever been polished and the edges look good with the odd marks and dings as can be seen in the pics.

I don't know the service history of this watch, it has always kept good time for me when worn, giving a few winds out the box to get it started I have worn it for 3 or 4 days in a row numerous times and it's kept very good time indeed. I'm sure it would benefit from a service however.

The dial looks in good order with some marks due to the glossy finish(nothing unsightly, I'm just giving details here) and the tritium has turned to a nice rich khaki colour which I rather like. The hands have a lighter tone to them but I have seen this on numerous Super Compressors with this dial and handset so nothing unusual there.

The caseback has some old scuff marks on it which seem to have naturally polished out with the years, along with the rest of the case back markings which can be seen at certain angles.

I would class this watch as very nice condition for age, I don't think it's ever been polished and the case retains its sharp edges. The tritium lume has developed a nice dirty green colour, while the hands are a lighter shade they're still nicely matched and as is typical with aged tritium glow after exposure to light but then quickly fade. The only parts I suspect are non original are the crystal.
