About bismuth:

Bismuth is a metallic chemical element with some fascinating properties. Bismuth's atomic number is 83. Many assume it is, therefore, heavier than lead (atomic number 82). However, its density is only 86% that of lead due to its less compact atomic structure. Nevertheless, it does feel curiously heavy in the hand.

It is also the most diamagnetic natural substance which means it is actually slightly REPELLED by a magnet.

Bismuth is one of only a few substances, water being another, that actually expands upon freezing (solidifying).
