A brand new unworn Seiko SKX007 that has been customised with the addition of:

-The flat Hardlex crystal has been replaced with a double domed blue AR coated sapphire.These are second only to diamond on the MONS scale and very hard to scratch.These high quality crystals give a retro look and add clarity and magnification to the dial.

-The ticked plastic chapter ring has been replaced with a brushed stainless steel chapter from dr.seikostain.

-Black PO styled bezel insert with luminous pip at 12 o'clock.

-Blades hands set in silver from dlwwatches.This simple elegant hands set are polished silver each nicely lumed.

-Dagaz 'Special Agent' dial.This is a new dial pattern from Dagaz watches.The dial has a scored 'checkered' finish in semi-matte black,printed in white,silver and gold with an applied Dagaz logo at 12 o'clock.The hour markers are multilayered superluminova,95% C1 with 5% C3 for added brightness.All the dials from Dagaz are excellent quality but this one is simply awesome.A tour de force of design and manufacturing!These are a watchmakers dream as they are such a good fit and the surface finish is not easily spoilt.

-All black Grand Catalonia leather strap with the correct end diameter 22mm spring bars for the SKX case.These are lined and sealed on the edges.A thick quality strap that soon breaks in and is a perfect match for this case.

The SKX007 is one of Seiko's best selling classic ISO rated 200m dive watches.The latest development of a dive watch that has been manufactured since the 1950's.These are beautifully constructed with a 316l stainless steel.Polished sides and brushed top.

An impressive wrist presence-larger watches very fashionable at the moment!

Powered by Seiko's own 7s26c automatic movement.These well respected movements are self winding with a rotor arm, and have an approximate 35hr power reserve.

Note:

These movements are non-hand winding and to start the watch you must shake the watch for approx 30s(Seiko shuffle) this turns the rotor arm to charge the mainspring.Wrist movement during wear will keep the mainspring wound.If unworn for a period the watch will run down and stop.I find that these will continue to run when left overnight but if left off all weekend will need to be shaken again and re-set time.

This is a highly customised Seiko SKX007 with just the case and movement remaining from the original watch.The finished watch has been pressure tested in a Swiss made Bergeon5555 to 2-3bar.This equates to 20-30m depth.This watch,provided a water resistant strap is fitted,will be fine for use in the pool and most leisure dive purposes.

This SKX custom is a stunning composition of high quality parts.I have chosen a simple hands set to showcase this beautiful dial.This certainly has elements of a well known watch brand but is not a replica!My custom watches are unique and have their own personality.
