New reproduction stock style chrome gas cap for 1962 - 64 Chevy II / Nova all models and body styles. Will NOT FIT 65 - 67 models, which used a different filler neck (even though it looks the same). May have fitment issues with reproduction filler necks! It is an issue with the filler neck, not the gas cap.
CONDITION: New OER brand reproduction. Not 100% like the originals, but exact reproductions are not currently available (and probably never will be). They will often have a bit of minor surface rust on the inside. They all do this.
DISCLAIMER: as with any chrome part, care must be taken to preserve the finish and prevent oxidation. This is especially important with modern reproduction parts that are not plated to the same level of quality as the original American made parts. Without proper care the finish of chrome parts will corrode over time, and rather quickly if left outside in the elements. If you need tips on how to do this, there are plenty of "how to" resources online.
IMPORTANT! If you torque down on these too aggressively you will snap the handle off. This usually occurs when trying to force it onto a damaged or incorrect filler neck. Damaged fuel filler necks on early Novas are VERY common.
Always independently verify the part works for your application before purchase. DO NOT solely trust the eBay application compatibility chart!
