For your consideration is this Fabulous Antique Early 19th Century Black Forest Hand Carved Wood Pocket Watch Display & Travel Case.

This is a ladies pocket watch case from the Black Forest Region of Switzerland. The lid is adorned with a lovely hand carved bouquet of edelweiss flowers.  The sides are ridged.  The case has a wonderful curved shape to compliment and frame the pocket watch with a wooden hinge that flips back for stand support.  The interior where the watch sits is lined with red felt and measures approximately 1.5" across.  The exterior of the case when closed measures approximately 4" tall, 2" wide and 1" thick.

An added bonus with the original sticker stamp on the bottom of the case to identify origin, style and maker.  Some of the words on the sticker say "Holz Schnitzwaren Diana A.G. Interlaken".

Overall condition is very good, with three minor chips on the tips of the case that have virtually no visual impact.

This is a wonderful display case for that very special pocket watch or adding to a collection.  Keep in mind, due to the hand crafting of each piece, no two cases are exactly alike!
