Hi,

For sale is a very lightly used (like new) Canada Goose Expedition Parka in medium size. 100% genuine with tags and booklets. Fabulous coat, great quality, as warm as you would expect and - let’s be honest - a bit of a statement piece. Something that I've heard recently is that some stockists have a no fur policy and so their coats feature faux fur on the collar. Not actually sure whether that's true or not, but this coat has wild Coyote fur, as per the label in picture 8.

Purchased about 10 months ago, new price £950.

Now the important bit:

Canada Goose describe the fit of their Expedition parkas as “relaxed”. That’s a bit of an understatement. This coat is massive. I believe that as these are genuine cold weather survival coats (and therefore not intentionally designed for people tooling about on UK High Streets on chilly days), they are sized based on the premise that you’re probably going to want the option of wearing several thick layers underneath them. If you’re not familiar with the sizing I recommend googling “Canada Goose sizing”. Their authorised stockists recommend going down at least a size from your usual when buying an Expedition parka; some owners recommend two sizes down. I am (just about) 6 feet tall and 11 stone and am a medium in pretty much everything, but to be honest this coat is way too big for me. It would be generous on someone that usually takes a large and could comfortably fit an XL wearer.

I have included a couple of pictures of it with my Sterling parka (another thick down filled jacket sized medium and itself no shrinking violet in the “I am a big coat” stakes) for comparison. The actual jacket filling thickness is about the same so the extra width of the Canada Goose is purely the extra space inside.

Please bear the sizing in mind if purchasing and when choosing who to buy from please also remember that I warned about this when I note that a lot of listings don’t…

Thanks for looking and any questions happy to help.
