This NEW Stainless Steel SU Carburetter Heatshield fits cars with two SU carburetters for Triumph Spitfire 1500cc and MG Midget 1500cc cars. This a new part, made in STAINLESS STEEL so it will not rust out on your car. If you look at the photos of this item you will see at the back of the heatshield it has an air cooling gap so that air will flow through between the rear heatshield and the front heatshield. This will keep the front heatshield cool and prevent fuel vapourisation. With the cost petrol GOING UP its best not to heat up the petrol to let it evaporate away. (This is called vapour lock.)
