What makes this guitar special: A wonderful player with a true vintage vibe. Designed with the studio in mind, the Les Paul Recording houses a myriad of tonal possibilities, including phase switching & hi-lo output selection. The low impedance pickups deliver some very interesting tones along with the help of bass, treble, decade & volume controls. 3-way pickup & tone selection options round out the package just at Les had wanted it. Fully inspected & set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds marvelous.

Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age, but does show signs of wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some mild finish wear. There's a crack in the control panel down by the input jack & a small crack in the top portion of the pickguard. Both have been glued & are stable, however, the input jack is a bit wobbly due to the crack & therefore caution should be exercised when plugging & unplugging the guitar. Overall the guitar has a great look to it, with an authentic vintage look & gorgeous patina.

Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original small frets are in great shape with mild wear & plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl split diamond inlays. Grover Pat Pend tuners are all in perfect working condition. All but the D tuner are nickel, which is a perfect chrome replacement. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with 4-ply top binding. Stopbar tailpiece & "harmonica" bridge with adjustable saddles. 5-ply black pickguard & 3-ply black control plate. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 7.3 oz.

Electronics: Gibson embossed, Les Paul designed low impedance pickups. Master Volume, Decade, Treble & Bass controls with black "top hat" knobs. In/Out Phase switch; Hi/Low output switch; 3-way Tone selector; 3-way pickup toggle. Pots date to '71 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included. Case is in great shape, but does have some faint red writing on the outside of the lid.
