They have been cut approximately 10" long and the ends have been ground smooth.

I have 10 lots of 40 mandrels ready to ship and another 5lbs of rod The price is a little higher than my other sizes due to increased labor and material cost..

I use this size a bit for small accent beads in wire work jewelry and for making veil pins .045 is a little smaller then 18 gauge (SWG)

With the pins I build the bead directly on the mandrel and cut the pin to length and point the pin with sandpaper.

Being so fine the mandrels are more prone to bending then the heavier sizes I have available. I use flat rate envelops with reinforcement for orders up to 5 lots.
