Nice Quality English Gothic Double Fusee Bracket Clock

A great quality English double fusee Bracket clock with a Gothic styled case. This delightful 19th century clock is incomplete and in need of full restoration.

The movement has five well shaped pillars, not the usual four which is a sure sign of quality. The escapement and the pendulum are both missing. The plates are well shaped and the locking screw is present. This movement has a pull repeat feature. The convex dial is the smaller size of 7 inch and  has no hands and has a name on it which I cannot make out. The beautifully cast bezel which is detached and  is again a quality piece of work with a lovely pattern with no glass. One hinge needs re-soldering, no lug. The sight ring is present.

The mahogany case is again of some considerable quality and in the Gothic style. And it is 15  3/4 inch tall and 11 inch wide and 6 1/2 deep but would have been taller with feet etc It has great quality brass mounts and Gothic side frets along with fine pillars. Please note that it does have missing mouldings, finials and handles etc (Please see photos for clarification). The case does require a full restoration as it has wear and damages consistent with age. A high quality and original English Bracket clock sold as seen for restoration/parts only with no guarantee or returns. Ideal for the experienced restorer.
