There are many ways of using shikakai powder which can be found on a multitude of Internet pages.

 

To use the powder to wash your hair and body, simply add some water to the powder and use the paste on desired areas (avoid sensitive areas). Please note that for best results it is advised to prepare shikakai shampoo as the powder can be hard to wash off from long or thick hair.

 

To use as hair treatment, mix shikakai powder with some yoghurt or water. You can add some of your favourite hair oil to the mix. Apply to clean dry hair for about 30 minutes. Wash off as usual.

 

Alternatively, you can also add cassia and amla powders into this mask for added positive effects.
