For sale is rare Wenger GST Sea automatic chronograph, model 78189.  Listed at a great price for a quick sale.  Discontinued model.  Hard to find.  Movement is the robust Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph.  Watch is working well, keeping good time, all chronograph functions working as they should and resetting to zeroes properly.  Nice overall condition. Sapphire crystal (scratch proof).  Light scratches here and there but no damage.  Comes in a Wenger box as shown, but I have seen it elsewhere with a box marked GST, so I am guessing this box is not original to the watch.  The crown does not appear to be original but does catch threads and screws down about a full turn.  I'd set the price higher if the crown was not replaced.  I see another one on ebay in Spain (the only other I can find available anywhere) with an asking price of over $1800, although that one seems to be in unworn condition with accessories.  I wore the watch for about a day and it seemed to be good time, but really don't know how accurate it would be over a week, etc.  No adjustments have been been to it.  The bracelet fits very tightly on a 7 1/2" wrist, so I would say it would fit a 7 1/4" wrist well.  There is also a diver's extension folded over inside the clasp.  The crown has a hinged protection device (guard) over it.  Watch measures approx. 41 mm in diameter (without the crown or crown guard....and 46 mm including the crown guard. Chrono pusher buttons have screw down locks on them, similar to Rolex Daytona, which need to be unscrewed out in order to be able to press the chrono buttons for activation and resetting of the chronograph.  Photo 4 shows the locks screwed down, photo 5 shows them unscrewed.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: If you review my feedback, you will find that I have one, single, negative feedback which was simply UNWARRANTED and related to this VERY watch.  I would like to explain this situation.  This watch was sold last month and within roughly an hour of delivery, the buyer complained about two things: he claimed the timing was off by several minutes an hour and also claimed that the chronograph was not functioning.  Considering I had rigorously tested the watch before listing it and again before shipping, I was hesitant to believe the claims.  I asked the buyer some simple questions as soon as I saw that he opened a case, but he did not answer these questions.  The next morning, the buyer left negative feedback.  I phoned ebay to discuss this situation, and the agent said I should accept the return, which I did, and I refunded the buyer after the return.  Sure enough, upon receipt of the return, the chronograph was indeed not functional.  After examination of the movement, it was found that the buyer REMOVED THE CLUTCH SPRING (easy to remove with just some tweezers), which made the chronograph non-operational.  This is a $10 part.  I did not know what the buyer's motivation for doing this could possibly be.  Later on, I reviewed the feedback that the buyer has left for other people and found that within the last month he has left 12 feedback for other sellers and 8 of these were NEGATIVE, often with similar claims that the chronograph function was not working.  Seemed very suspicious.  So, I started contacting some of these other sellers who were apparent victims of this buyer and found that he is doing this to other people.  He bought one chronograph from another buyer and made a similar claim of issues and demanded a $250 refund for repairs when the watch was purchased for only $200.  I have also been advised that his selling account has been suspended.  It seems that he is mostly trying to make false claims against people that are relatively new sellers.  I am continuing to try to get ebay to remove the unwarranted feedback, without any success thus far.
In the meantime, a new clutch spring has been installed and the watch is back in good working order.  It's been running well for several days.  I have included photos taken on the day of this listing which show various aspects as follows:
- The watch is keeping good time, approx. +8 sec/day face up and +16 sec/day face down.  Not perfect but probably a little bit better than average from what you would expect from a used 7750.  Of course, this could be regulated to improve it a bit. And of course this may differ a little bit when wearing it, but this is what the timegrapher test results show.
- The last two photos show the chronograph hands in positions after running several minutes and then again after being reset to zeroes, collectively showing the chronograph is running and resetting as it should

If you have any issues that contradict how I am describing it, you can feel free to RETURN the watch.  I am an honest seller.
