Other than it's fully rugged design, the GD8000 is known for it's DynaVue Outdoor Readable LCD Screen.  Even when compared to a Panasonic Toughbook, the screen is particularly easy to read in daylight.

   All Manufacturer provided Itronix drivers are installed and working.  The Delorme & Chart Plotting software is pre-configured to communicate with the GPS, no set up or subscription is ever required.  

North American road and topographic maps come pre-loaded on the laptop with the included Delorme Software.  ENC Marine Charts are also included for all US coastal waters and work with the included OpenCPN chart plotting software.  Worldwide CM93 chart coverage is included with the MaxSea plotting software.
