DATE PRINTED: 1830.   No date given on imprint and no railways shown.  The address on the imprint is Arundel Street which Chapman & Hall left in 1830.

SIZE: The printed area is approximately 25 x 19 cm (9.75 x 7.75 inches), folded in cover 9.5 x 11 cm  (3.75 x 4.25 cm). Original colour on the map backed onto linen, folds into original green cloth covers.

ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Drawn and engraved by Sidney Hall. Sidney Hall (1788–1831) was a British engraver and cartographer well known and popular for his early nineteenth century atlases containing maps of the United Kingdom and of the ancient world reproduced from Hall's engravings. Hall made engravings for a number of international atlases at a time when cartography and atlases were very popular.  The business continued after his death by his wife Selina.  

PROVENANCE: Published as a folding map‏. 

TYPE: Antique engraving printed on paper mounted on linen.

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank.

CONDITION: Good; suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
