This is a vintage Buescher True Tone alto saxophone #253XXX in worn vintage dark laquer finish, around 70% bare brass, manufactured in 1928 in Elkhart, Indiana USA, the absolute peak period of quality. #1 Neck. Pads are mostly older with flexible leather with necessary replacements and this sax is set up to good playing adjustment. However, some players will always want a sax personally to their taste by their own technician, so buyers will need to figure that expense into the price BEFORE bidding. Normal wear, speckling, scratches for it's age. This sax has a warm distinctive vintage sound and nice projection. Comes without a case but this sax will be very carefully packaged for shipping.
