These lovely geta are of superior quality and are made of paulownia kiri wood, lacquered in a deep, glossy black. They are in perfect, unworn condition in their original box. The straps are sound and in perfect condition. They measure about 9” or 23cm long and are about 2” or 5cm high. They have matching removable shibori rain protectors which fit on with an elastic strap - these are meant to keep your tabi socks clean and dry on rainy days. These would be perfect for rainy summer days with a yukata...
Note… the size of footwear in Japan is considered largely irrelelant as traditionally there was only one mens size and one womans size and you adjust your foot to the sandal rather than the sandal to your foot; so overhanging the heel by an inch or so is considered normal…
