1. Specify which BRADS, SCREWS or RIVETS you want:
NOTE: Fasteners are NOT included except where specifically noted. See below for ordering fasteners of your choice.
- Brads (no charge) used for saddle plates or other hard surfaces
- Small Phillips head screws ($1.95 EXTRA*) used for saddle plates or other hard surfaces
- 1/4" Rivets ($1.95 EXTRA*) used for 1-ply (single layer) leather OR 2-ply (double layer) nylon
- 3/8" Rivets ($2.95 EXTRA*) used for 2-ply (double layer) leather OR 3-ply (triple layer) nylon
(When you are NOT ordering fasteners, we still need to know
what fasteners the holes should be drilled for.)
*Unfortunately, when screws and rivets are ordered, increased USPS rates (as of 1/26/2020) apply.
We have to ship as a package and pass a partial shipping charge on to you.
That's why we have to charge for the screws and rivets. (Billed through PayPal via a separate invoice)
We are NOT making any profit from these charges.
2. Specify one or two lines of engraving
- A second line is $2.00 extra
- The charge for a second line and/or any other extras will be billed, via PayPal, in a separate invoice.
3. For EACH line, write text exactly as it is to be engraved.
- Write text exactly as it is to be engraved for EACH line.
- We will engrave in all high case (all caps) unless otherwise requested, except for script and Olde English
which will be engraved in Upper & Lower unless all high case is specifically requested. - Do NOT use quotes ("), unless they are to be engraved.
- Maximum of 14 characters, including spaces, on the first line.

DESCRIPTION:
1 3/4" x 3/8" SOLID BRASS NAME, BRIDLE, BROW, OR EXTRA SMALL SADDLE PLATE
Available in brushed satin, solid brass and comes with one line engraved.
For a saddle plate, to use on the back of the cantle, (usually the saddle owner's name) choose brads (no charge) OR
round head Phillips screws ($1.95 extra). For a brow or bridle plate, choose rivets, see #2 above for
extra charge. (All extras will be invoiced separately via PayPal.)
Our brass is the finest quality available for engraving, and are finished with a baked-on
synthetic resin, that will not tarnish or rust. The plate is .032" thick, almost that of a dime, so it is sturdy,
but still creating an elegant finish to your tack.
We quadruple rotary diamond engrave the name into the brass to create a very durable engraving, much more so
than just diamond etching or laser engraving, that has a tendency to rub off. The exposed raw brass is then
double acid oxidized to produce the darkened image.
Can also be used for Pets and ID tags, (mounted with rivets).
