New polyvaricon radio tuner capacitor. FOUR SECTIONS, two 270pF and two 25 pF. Each section has an individual trimmer.

Terrific capacitor for crystal radios, allows you to tune the entire AM band without switching in capacitors or inductors. As a general rule, for crystal radios use one or both 270pF sections with trimmers set to minumum, not the 25pF sections, as that will increase the low range value, without significantly increasing the high end range.

Complete with knob and screws. Knob is not an actual tuning knob, but an excellent replacement, and features a rubber outer ring. The ring provides a very comfortable grip, and is superior to the serrated edges on many tuning knobs in our opinion. The color of the capacitor may vary.

Nominal body size is 0.86" square by 0.64" high, excluding knob attachment.

Identify the leads as described below.

The three center leads are common (tied together).

The side with the short lead is the 25pF side.  Common terminal is any center lead, the capacitor sections are the outer long leads.

The side with all long leads is the 270pF side.  Common terminal is any center lead, the capacitor sections are the two outer leads, near the center of the body.
