DETAILS: by Austrian photographer JOSEF DAIMER (1887–1971), a master of the so-called "Edeldruck" (gum prints, handgravures, bromoils, carbon prints etc.). Daimer was teaching at the renowned Vienna Graphic School (where Rudolf Koppitz was also teaching). During the 1940s he was also chief editior of the "Photographische Korrespondenz", an important photo journal. His oeuvre spans several decades from 1910s to the 1950s. The earliest print found in a group of images from the Daimer estate (a part of which we have recently aquired) is from 1912, the latest from 1957. ---Here is a beautiful gelatin silver print, one of a kind. from the JOSEF DAIMER estate.
