Akai S950 official sound library disk images in .hfe format for the HxC SD floppy emulator by Lotharek. All images converted directly from the original disks in Akai S900/S950 DD format using the HxC software. Most images contain multiple programs; please see the screenshot for a list of all 100 images included. This collection "Volume 1" includes drums and percussion, bass, guitars, strings, keys, synths, SFX, wind instruments, brass, orchestral, voices and more. All you need to do is copy the .hfe images and .cfg file into the root directory of a SD/USB memory card, plug and play. You will receive a download link to access two folders and a PDF detailed below. During checkout use the 'Message to seller' to confirm your email address and whether you need the STANDARD (for text displays) or INDEXED (3-digit display) version of the images. You will not receive both versions. Both versions include a disk image of software V4.0 for S900 users.

1. 'AKAI S950 DD SOUND LIBRARY 100 DISKS ACL'. This folder contains 99 disk images converted from the Akai UK sound library, an image of a S950 keygroup template and the configuration file used to load the images into the S950. Total = 100 disk images.
2. 'AKAI S950 SURVIVAL KIT'. A collection PDF's, including S900/S950 owners manuals, service manuals/schematics, info on IB-109 SCSI and IB-105 Hard Drive, 80's magazine reviews and more.
3. 'AKAI S950 ACL DD SOUND LIBRARY IMAGE LIST'. A list of all 100 disk images in PDF format for easy reference.

If you have a Gotek USB emulator (HxC or Flashfloppy firmware) with 3-digit display request the INDEXED VERSION of the download. The images will have filenames DSKA0001.hfe, DSKA0002.hfe etc and a configuration file (.cfg) preset to indexed mode. The last three digits will be shown on your floppy emulator display. You can use the included list of images as a reference. On the root of your USB drive you should only have the downloaded images and indexed mode configuration file. If you do not understand how to use your Gotek USB emulator DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNTIL YOU DO. I'd advise you to read the HxC software user guide.
No memory expansions are required in the S950 to load these images. Although listed as S950 disk images, buyers have confirmed compatibility with the Akai S01, S900 and S1000 samplers. If you have any questions please ask before purchasing. I recommend updating your SD emulator to the firmware version 2.1.11.1 or higher. I do not provide technical support with setting up or using SD/USB floppy emulators.
